I watched Black Swan today! It was really good but really disturbing (because it was so good). It's really hard to watch self-mutilation. Freaks me out ttm. How am I going to be a psychologist? I suppose that's why I want to do child psych. Hopefully I'll avoid all this. But anyway, Natalie Portman's acting is fantastically convincing. Mila Kunis is so pretty. Oh there were a lot of wanking scenes. FEMALE wanking scenes. And some lesbian action too. Quite off.

Walked around Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens with my sis then I stopped by Carlton Gardens on my way home. There's nothing like chilling in Melbourne's parks. I should have brought my book, which I still haven't touched since I've landed :\

So I've been spending my time playing roomie's keyboard (cos I finished misfits and the rest of my downloads haven't finished). I really need to buy her a keyboard stand. This is killing my back and shoulders and my legs have to contort into weird positions in order to pedal and my knees keep getting in the way of my arms. Not a fantastic arrangement, but still, it's fun. Another thing that gets me is my failing memory. I usually can only recall half of the piece, which is quite annoying. I should have scanned the scores onto my com before I left :\

I watched Morning Glory today! It was absolutely hilarious. Thoroughly enjoyable. Makes me want to eat frittatas. Rachel McAdams has the prettiest eyes! Ex-mother and my theatre hopping epic failed because most of the movies ended around the same time so there was nothing left to watch that we hadn't already seen.

Why was this not on TED when I needed it! So music psych/music and health. And apart from that, the piano improvisation is so absolutely fantastic! I could listen to it all day. Feel like watching a jazz concert with my dad now :\ It's so cute to see him talk about jazz really. See his eyes light up. Freestyle rap is really impressive too! Man those dudes got swaggerrrrrr

During today's second lecture, I suddenly remembered that I was 18 and then I felt really really old. Story of my life.

omg seriously the lecturer needs to pick up the pace. CANNOT TANK. He and Miss Beh need to average out their speeds. He took an eternity to show us how to freaking MULTIPLY MATRICES. Doesn't help that we've learn this all before because that just leaves me sincerely bored. He took something like 10 minutes to explain the simple idea that for AB and BA to be the same size, A and B must be square matrices. Seriously, even the most bogan students would find this slow.

At least the tute and my tutor are useful. The lab class tutor, however, is entirely enigmatic in his way of giving help, so it ends up not helping much. But it's okay, I sat next to a smart person who could help me. Awesome possum.

I wish there wasn't so much background noise :\ It's hard to believe she's still unsigned. So many talented people in the world. Too many talented people in the world.

omg linear is so boring. So simple but the lecturer goes sooooooooo freaking slowly. I'd better learn something new by the end of the summer semester man otherwise this would have just been a bloody waste of time and money for 12.5 credits. I don't understand why this is a prereq for so many subjects! SERIOUSLY ANNOYING.

lingering spring

Idk how this is considered summer when it's below 25 for the entire day. Not that I'm complaining, of course, I love it. Unfortunately this bout of cool weather isn't going to last long. The forecast says that on thursday it will hit 30. Boo.

Summer sales everywhere! Madly tempting! But I'm somehow not really in a shopping mood now. Just feel like nua-ing in front of my com.

dust settled

And today left me wondering why I was dreading coming back so much. The weather is so nice, the air is so fresh and crisp, the view from my window is amazing (just ignoring the clutter within the apartment).

Okay so I keep checking my phone compulsively. Bad habit. Who the hell is going to text me here anyway? No one else is back yet, except some rather unsavoury people that I somehow seem to have a lot 缘分 with. CHING SEOW WAITING FOR YOU TO ARRIVE. In the mean time, I'll be with my mum since she's only here for such a brief time!
