Of course it sucks that I'm not going back. But in a way it's good too cos I have a bio mid-sem after the break and I have two 1000 word psych assignments to start on. There's no way I'd do anything about those if I was back home.

I'm turning into a dumb blonde. Today I watched Australian rules footy for the first time ever (st kilda vs sydney swans!) When they were in the second quarter of the game and I was wondering how many quarters there were in a game. It took me another while to figure out that quarters were called quarters because there are four of them. Good thing all these astounding thought processes remained in my head as they were happening.

reasons I like my apartment

It's stiflingly hot now and actually has been this way for the past few nights. Like really, STIFLING. Weather forecast says that there will be showers tomorrow. I sincerely hope so, I could use a bit of rain.

I've been spending a lot of money recently. NOT GOOD.

gosh and someone can be so irritating. someone needs to leave me and my stuff alone for a day and let me sloth out at home. someone needs to stop making comments about stupid things. GAH. SIGH. Not just someone. I can get so annoyed with other people too. Then when I'm not agitated anymore I think about the nice stuff they've done for me and like happy times together and I feel like such a bitch for getting annoyed over trivial things.

I went shopping over the weekend! I have three new shirts! Two of which were only $5. The last one was $15. So not too bad (:

And I bought karyn's birthday present even though it's still so early! haha karyn I hope you like it when you get it like months from now.

I just walked home with ____ and ____. They're nice people but gosh they are so fake. omg. EW. I feel like I need to scrub my skin until it's raw now. LIKE WHAT'S UP WITH THE SUDDENLY 20 TIMES STRONGER ACCENT. DOTS. That was such a totally ____ experience.

I've never been so thankful to have attended trinity before. And to have stayed at palmerston. I swear, if I hadn't, I'd probably be going insane by myself in my bedroom while trying to do a shitty bio tutorial sheet. Okay fine, no I wouldn't be because I can be relatively self-sufficient when the need arises. But my point is, I have up till now still not made any new friends. I'm so antisocial haha.

Actually, I'm still pretty happy. I have my trinity friends in my lectures, so that's not too bad. Getting closer to some of my trinity acquaintances too. It's just that my tutorials are pretty dull without real friends.

Oh yea, the people in my bio tute are freaky. It sounds like they study every day in order to consolidate all the lecture info. They can answer almost all of the tutor's questions, and one girl even knew stuff that the tutor didn't know. I mean, I just sit there staring at my paper, trying my best to scribble down all of the answers which I didn't get.

My sewing machine arrived today HAHA. I can't believe I actually bought one. First successful online purchase. I'm going to buy fabric soon and we shall see what happens.

It's raining now (1 02pm). I've got calculus lecture at 2 15. I hate having to walk to class in the rain so hopefully it would have cleared up by then. SIGH. I don't mind the cold as long as it's sunny!

Oh yea did you hear about the hail the size of golf balls the other day? Fortunately or unfortunately I didn't get to see it because I was inside the cinema watching Alice in Wonderland (: Which is btw a kickass movie so go watch it.

I forgot to set my alarm last night. Woke up at 9 20. Calculus tute started at 9. Great.

And so I went for one of the later tutes, just so I could get the worksheet and you know, hopefully learn some stuff. The tutor was damn boh chap can? he didn't take attendance, he kept saying like "please (insert task here) so I don't have to do it myself". But other than that he was pretty nice. Oh yea, he only just finished his bachelor's. He's doing honours now. Damn young can.

Oh and it's scary. The aussie way of solving trigo sums is different. They draw two triangles which basically act as our "special angles table" but our table is way easier to use and is much more efficient. And then, because we're not allowed to use calculators, I'm even more lost. Gosh. I'd better revise.

My stove is annoying. We can't light it. Or rather we can light it, but it won't stay on. The moment your hand lets go of the gas knob, the fire goes out. So cooking is now even more of a team effort because someone has to stir the food or whatever while the other holds down the gas knob. Wow right?
