I showed this too roomie. Her response:
"OMG WHAT'S THAT? A PIG?"

I take it as a sign that her myopia is worsening as we speak.

I have different friends for different things and I'm glad I do.

Woke up at 6 45am to watch the sunrise again this morning with roomie. We were so stoned. I can't believe we managed to stay up for an hour waiting for the sun to rise above the expansive grey plume. which basically blocked it from the time it peeked out from the horizon to the time when the soft pink and orange faded to normal daylight. We gave up waiting for the sun to come out of hiding and went back to sleep.

When we managed to haul ourselves out of bed again, we went out shopping with fish and biscuit. Bought a 2 litre carton of chocolate milk. Roomie and I drank 3/4 of it already. I feel so calciumy.

I woke up at 7+ this morning. Just in time to catch the sun rising and the hot air balloons in the distance. But I was damn stoned. I took two photos with my phone then I went back to sleep within the next minute. I'm really happy with the view from my apartment (: the night scape is awesome too.

Sometimes I feel so lost in translation at Chinese New Year. When I'm with my dad's side, they talk in Teochew. When I'm visiting my mum's relatives, they speak in Cantonese. And I'm like.. huh? what?

haha my half-German cousins are now living in Beijing and going to a local school so their Chinese is now damn 标准. Got the accent some more. And their English has still retained the American accent that they picked up in Seattle. I not really in a position to comment on their German.

hmm my dad forwarded me one of my more distant cousin's contact details last year because he was studying in Melbourne too. I TOTALLY FORGOT. Omg lah! It's so weird cos he's a year ahead of me but he knows the trinity people in my year.

umm, yeah, omg, DIF came to the cake shop today. Imagine my surprise when I saw her familiar trapeze-shaped hair. haunted by scgs.

and I nearly dropped a knife on my foot today because I toppled over an entire rack of knives. OMG. luckily it was on it's side so I'm not crippled. and luckily I managed to stop the others from falling off the counter top.

oh and this taitai came it and when she was going to pay for her cakes, she took out a thousand dollar note and asked "do you have change for this?".

SPEAKING OF MONEY, let me count how much I've earned so far.
tues : $30
wed : $30
thurs : $50
fri : $42

hehehehe I want to go shopping now. whee~ I want to go to zara and buy that awesome tshirt but I don't think I have time. Why does australia have only one freaking zara in the entire country continent?

We always have the radio on at work. I heard this interview that Jean Danker and Tim whatever did with Kris Allen. And the one thing he would change about himself if he could is have chest hair?! wtf?! Evidently he hasn't watched New Moon and seen the grossness of chest hair epitomized by Robert Pattinson's sparkly torso.

Oh yea, and I notice, that a lot of the radio dj's sound the same. WHY.

And on a completely different topic, isn't it so funny how the Greek gods are so different from the God in Christianity/Islam/Judaism? The Greek gods got jealous of mortals and each other, then proceeded to use their powers to destroy the objects of their envy by turning them into spiders or plants or whatever. They ran around having numerous affairs and having like a million children out of wedlock. I mean, every single one of these gods are guilty of at least one crime. Basically, they're the complete opposite of God. Weird huh.

omg ice ice baby just started playing on my shuffle? I didn't even know I had the song?

I'm re-reading Percy Jackson because as interesting as the story was the first time I read it, I just can't remember a single thing. Of course that was a couple of years back and my book pages have now proceeded to yellow and unsightly brown spots blemish the once pristine cream sheets. I finished The Lightning Thief and I'm on to the Sea of Monsters now. I must say the beginning of the sequel is far less engaging than the first.

OMG IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO SPELL PRISTINE. WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY BRAIN.

Okay, the beef I have with the story is that Percky Jackson is 12 years old. urhhh yea. That pretty much sums it up. I guess it's supposed to prove that he's powerful and heroic because he managed to defeat Ares and stop a war between the gods, but it's just a little weird. Like, the fate of the world rests in the hands of a prepubescent boy with the maturity level of a... I dont know.

I'm epic-failing at multi-tasking right now. Trying to install my printer driver, stalk people on fb, reply carmen's wall posts, reply carmen's IMs, brenda's IMs, twin's IMs, download the documents I need to print, blog and I keep forgetting what else I'm suppose to do halfway.

I started work today! Doing mechanical tasks like folding cake boxes and wiping baking tins dry. I felt like a machine. But hey, I have $30 of my own money in my pocket now (:

I've been watching Warehouse 13 with my dad. It's addictive. Eddie McClintock is damn funny.

ahh cute fabric!

I have decided to buy a mini sewing machine in Australia and learn how to sew awesome stuff like clutches with kisslock clasps. And to hopefully fulfil this ambition, I've been spending my time on google, ebay and etsy looking for cheap fabric and bag handles and purse frames or where to buy it from. It seems like I have nothing else to do anyway. Except pack, which is depressing, and I still need my clothes anyway.

So I'm actually kind of excited to go back to Melbourne because of the sewing thing and also to try making strawberry and pine nut salad (totally random but yea). But the thing is it still feels like my time in Singapore has been so short! It passed so fast! and like 1/5 of it was spent in Turkey! And I haven't gotten to see my friends all that much, with the exception of wifey, who I met 5 days almost in a row last week.

I'm also dreading having to retrieve my stuff from the different places I stored them in. Actually two of the three places are in college square itself, which isn't so bad. I'm mostly just dreading having to get my boxes and suitcase from palmerston. It's pretty far! and pretty damn heavy! not to mention pretty damn cumbersome! And I die die must go collect it on the day I arrive otherwise I won't have a blanket or bedsheets! this bites.
